VESTIBULAR REHABILITATION
Our vestibular system is our body's gyroscope, orienting us to where we are in space. When not functioning optimally you can experience dizziness, vertigo, and imbalance. Vestibular rehabilitation uses evidence-based and individually-tailored exercises to re-educate the vestibular system to process information accurately and adapt to specific triggers causing your symptoms. Being dizzy is not normal. Vestibular rehabilitation can help.

NEUROLOGICAL RECOVERY
Whidbey Dizziness & Balance is a specialized neurological physical therapy practice. We treat patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, or concussion, and those managing neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's or Multiple Sclerosis. To this end we offer:
-
Free acute concussion screens
-
Home accessibility and safety assessments
-
Care coordination with specialty providers
balance optimization
Balance is a complex skill involving the integration of multiple sensory systems including: the vestibular system, vision, sensation, and even hearing. We can identify which system(s) may be weak and provide strategies and exercises on how to strengthen and integrate these systems more efficiently in order to optimize your balance. Our outdoor terrain park offers a safe space to challenge your balance and return to your favorite Whidbey activities such as hiking, beachcombing, or gardening.
